Letter Sent to Daily Mail

Posted on December 7th, 2011
As mandated by SU Council on yesterday evening the SU President has sent a letter to the Irish Daily Mail/Mail on Sunday calling for an apology to the friends and family of Caolan Mulrooney.
The emergency motion that was passed unanimously by the SU Council also called for SU outlets to immediately suspend sales of the paper, pending receipt of an apology and this being reviewed at the following council. As a result of this mandate, the Irish Daily Mail was not available in the SU shops today. The Daily Mail will not be sold in the SU shops until SU Council indicates it is appropriate to do so.
