Changes to Trinity Ball

The Trinity Ball Committee have implemented a number of changes to the organisation of Trinity Ball.

These changes are being implemented for 2017 and primarily involve the LUAS works and also take into account that in the longer term LUAS trams will be operating every day.

Trinity Ball will now run for an hour longer than in preceding years. Gates will open for Trinity Ball at 9pm, rather than 10pm as has been the case previously. Acts will be on stage from 9pm and Trinity Ball will end at the usual time of 5.00am.

Attendees are required to be inside Trinity campus before 10.30pm.

Access will be via Front Gate, Nassau Street and a third entrance to Trinity Ball for 2017 will located at Westland Row.  Tickets will be colour coded to facilitate easy access. There will also be assistance provided in College Green and Dawson Street/Grafton Street. This will help students to get to their correct access point.

Due to concerns for attendees’ safety, the number of welfare and medical areas at Trinity Ball has been increased for 2017.

The earlier opening time means additional artists, security and site personnel costs and for the first time in nearly a decade there will be an increase in the ticket price to €87.

You can still look forward to one of the best Trinity Ball events in years, with greater student input through interactive art installations, and one of the highest quality line-ups we’ve seen in years. So be ready for a longer, better Trinity Ball 2017!

As always, Trinity College Students’ Union is here to assist with any student queries!
