Hi, my name is Mairead! I’m a third-year history and political science student from Donegal and I’m running to be the next Editor of The University Times. I believe in providing a top-notch service for students! I have a track record of dedication to the paper through thousands of hours spent finding stories, mentoring writers and building community. Having served as Societies Editor, News Editor and now Deputy Editor, I’m the one with the experience and passion to make UT the best it can be. To put the YOU back in UT, vote Mairead for Editor!
I'm Ailbhe Noonan, a third-year English student from Skerries with an international background, and I want to be your next UT editor! I am the current Deputy Radius Editor for the paper and have previously served as Theatre Editor. In my time at the paper, I've covered issues across a wide range of genres, topics, and sections from feminism to accessibility issues to elections both within and outside the college. I have written over 50 articles across multiple sections and given countless hours to producing outstanding content for print and online, and leading a team of writers and editors to get things done. I have mentored writers from their first article to becoming editors themselves, and that journey is something I will continue to foster. Writing for UT has been the highlight of my college experience and I can't wait to work with you next year as your UT editor!
