I am László Molnárfi and I'm serving as your SU President 23/24.  I’m studying PPES, and I am from Hungary!
The Students Union are here to be the voice of students and fight to change the system. We are faced with so many challenges, from a neoliberal government that underfunds education leading to widespread staff casualization, a terrible housing crisis leaving students without accommodation and rising far-right forces threatening marginalized groups. Our society is becoming one where the most vulnerable are treated with the greatest disrespect. If you want to get involved, or simply need a helping hand, we are here to help. Together, we are stronger.

In solidarity,

What has the TCDSU done for you this year, 2023/2024?

We secured a rent freeze on campus, changed the policy in the Buttery to allow students to eat their own food during a cost of living crisis, worked on free period products by passing a policy at the Student Life Committee, created a report on College Counselling and College Health waiting lists, contributed to the #ebooksos campaign we run a food bank and constantly stand up to College, and government for local and national issues. As always, the TCDSU also advocates for international issues, such as standing in solidarity with Palestine and trying to get College to cut its ties with Israel through direct and disruptive action. We installed new lights on campus in 17 places.
