Postgraduate Forum

The Postgraduate Forum is a space for postgraduate students and their representatives to work together to shape the Students’ Union’s priorities and campaigns on postgraduate issues.

Chaired by the Graduate Officer, the Forum brings together postgraduate class representatives, the Postgraduate Research Officer, Postgraduate Taught Officer and Sabbatical Officers to discuss issues affecting postgraduate students. These include postgraduate services, quality of supervision, library services and study spaces, as well as wider issues being considered at School, Faculty or College level.

The Forum also helps develop campaign strategies on issues affecting postgraduate students and can propose motions to Union Council. It meets at least twice each teaching term, providing an opportunity for postgraduate representatives to raise concerns, share ideas and work collectively to improve the postgraduate experience.
