AMLCT/TCDSU is a bilingual Union, meaning that any press statements, instagrams, slides or captions (etc.) must be both in Irish and English. The Union makes every effort to ensure the visibility of the Irish language, and encourages students to use the language in emails, videos or in any form of communication. AMLCT/TCDSU strongly believes that Irish has an important and crucial role in the workings of the Union.

The Oifigeach na Gaeilge (Irish Language Officer) ensures the standard and continuous use of the Irish language within the Union. For more information regarding Gaeilge in AMLCT/TCDSU, please refer to Schedule 11 in the Constitution tab of ‘Your Union.’ The regulations listed in Schedule 11 are recognised as a guide for all officers, not just Oifigeach na Gaeilge. All positions are inherently bilingual due to the co-official status for Irish and English.
