HIV Rapid Testing

Thank you for your interest in ordering a Rapid HIV Testing Kit from TCDSU. Orders can be placed online via our form (which opens automatically below) every Friday from 12pm. A max of 100 kits will be available each week.

This free service is available to everyone who applies with an @tcd email address. Kits are available to all students on the Island of Ireland. If you have any questions or need to speak to someone regarding this process, please contact the Welfare & Equality Officer Leah at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

The rapid tests provided by TCDSU may not be able to detect recent exposures so if you think you have recently been exposed to HIV and are not currently on effective treatment, seek an emergency appointment at St. James’s GUIDE clinic where you will be able to avail of Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP).

Alternatively, the MPOWER Programme at HIV Ireland offers self testing kits at: https://mpower.hivireland.ie/self-test-order/. Applications open every Tuesday at 1pm. You can email them at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information on your HIV testing options.

You can find more information about St. James’s GUIDE clinic and book a screening here: http://www.guideclinic.ie/

Trinity runs an STI screening clinic. There is a courier fee of €15 for each screening with the TCD Health Centre. Find out more here: https://www.tcd.ie/collegehealth/service/specialised.php
